Madworks offering grants for lean startup class

feature3Madworks Coworking‘s accelerator program, “Madworks at Campus” is offering grants of up to $4,000 for early stage startups to participate in a high energy 10-week lean startup class that provides structure and mentoring, helping these new businesses determine their viability in the marketplace.

The program is open to University of Wisconsin faculty, staff, students and Madison area entrepreneurs. The deadline to apply is September 19.

The fall cohort will build upon the momentum of the summer session. Three companies from that session are engaged in funding discussions in the $500,000 range, five have new employees, and most of them have beta customers, many of whom are paying for services.

Madworks is a seed accelerator operating in the heart of the University of Wisconsin- Madison Campus that provides grants, mentors, lean start-up, structure, access to next round finance, and much, much more to selected early stage companies.
