Wisconsin’s Youth Apprenticeship program is part of a statewide School-to-Career initiative. It is designed for juniors or seniors who want hands-on learning in an occupational area at a worksite.
Since June 1993, Dane County School Consortium has partnered with the BioPharmaceutical Technology Center Institute to offer a Youth Apprenticeship Program in Biotechnology. The one or two-year program includes a 10-15 hour per week paid apprenticeship in an industry or university lab setting and specialized instruction, in addition to traditional high school coursework.
