University Research Park publishes "The First Fifteen Years: 1984-1999", a retrospective about the award winning research park

The publication, written by Arthur Hove leads readers through the park's first 15 years, spotlighting the innovative efforts that brought the park from idea to reality, and subsequently earned URP the first Outstanding Research Park Award, awarded by the International Association of University Related Research Parks (AURRP) in 1996.

California-Based Medical Products Company to Build in University Research Park
July 11, 2007 MADISON, Wis. –University Research Park (URP) today announced that Mentor Corp. (NYSE: MNT), a California-based global leader in the development, manufacturing and marketing of science-based medical products, will expand its presence in Madison with the construction of a 37,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in the park.

In addition to providing land and infrastructure, the NEW University Research Park Accelerator 2 will offer unique opportunities, resources and incentives for early stage companies through specialized growth environments.

 URP's "Accelerator 1" at 515-525 Science Drive is over 40,000 square feet and is fully committed. Tenants include Cellular Dynamics International, Stem Cell Products, and Nerities Corporation.
