State Journal marks Research Park's birth

It was 25 years ago this fall that the UW Board of Regents approved pursuing the creation of University Research Park. That anniversary was marked during the Nov. 5-6 Wisconsin Early Stage Symposium and celebrated in a Nov. 17 editorial in the Wisconsin State Journal.

The laboratory, which will join Kikkoman’s global research and development network, will foster increased collaboration between the company and University of Wisconsin-Madison food science researchers.

New ‘urban research park’ offers jolt of electricity to Madison high-tech startups

After three decades of almost exponential commercial growth on Madison's west side, the University Research Park (URP) will pursue an opportunity to sink roots downtown with an innovative "urban research park" targeting high-technology entrepreneurs.

University Research Park Tenants

University Research Park is home to over 100 companies and over 4000 employees. The companies are a unique blend of talented researchers and aspiring companies all striving for innovation in their designated discipline.

While the Park is made up of many individual companies, it functions more as a community with encouraged cooperative communication between the tenants.
