Coming out of the tumultuous changes of last year, we’re looking ahead to what the future will look like here in Madison and Wisconsin. In the fifth year of Cap Times Idea Fest, our theme is focused on how we reckon with the change brought by pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement and other forces.

Once again, Cap Times Idea Fest will cover topics relevant to your life and the future of Wisconsin. Our event this year will be a hybrid. There will be free virtual, on-demand sessions posting early in the week — plus live episodes of Cap Times Live and Cooking with the Cap Times — ending with two days of live sessions at UW-Madison’s Memorial Union on Friday, Sept. 17 and Saturday, Sept. 18. Cap Times Idea Fest will be virtual this year, but just as thought-provoking as ever. Over its two weeks, you will be able to experience over two dozen sessions in the comfort of your own home or office. Viewing festival sessions is free of charge this year, but Cap Times members will have access to some exclusive sessions, so consider becoming a member at membership.captimes.com.
