Calling campus researchers! Are you working on a science or engineering innovation? Do you want to explore its commercialization potential? The I-Corps program can provide you with entrepreneurial education, mentoring and up to $50,000 in funding.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) created I-Corps (Innovation Corps) to bridge the gap between fundamental research discoveries in science, and the commercialization of technologies, products and processes with the potential to benefit society. This program has been adopted by other federal agencies including NIH, NASA, Department of Defense and Department of Energy to support innovation development.

Learn how participating in I-Corps programs could advance your innovation at this information session designed for busy students, postdocs and faculty. UW–Madison researchers and Discovery to Product (D2P) mentors who participated in regional and national I-Corps programs will share their experiences and answer attendees’ questions. D2P’s staff mentors have completed Great Lakes I-Corps Instructor Training and have served as I-Corps Mentors in the National I-Corps Teams program. In the past two years, D2P has mentored six teams in national and regional I-Corps programs.

Hear from members of three D2P-mentored UW–Madison teams that completed the regional and national I-Corps Teams Programs, seeking to identify the commercial path forward for innovations which originated on campus. Scroll down for panelist details.
