2023 Healthcare Innovation Pitch Event

The HIP event is the popular Bridge to Cures event in partnership with Medical College of Wisconsin’s CTSI and AMPDNR program. The pitch event is designed as a toned-down and more structured version of the ABC show, “Shark Tank” where healthcare entrepreneurs get the rare opportunity to pitch to a panel of venture capitalists, angel investors, and serial entrepreneurs.

The program goal is the eventual introduction of new products and processes into the marketplace for the public good.

The State Economic Engagement & Development (SEED) Research Program grants are administered by Discovery to Product (D2P). SEED grants allow UW–Madison faculty and academic staff with ownership in a Wisconsin company to apply for funding to engage in innovative research, generate additional private and public sector support for their research programs, and promote technology transfer between the University and industry.

2024 Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp - June 3-7. Applications will open on February 5, deadline is March 7. The Morgridge Entrepreneurial Bootcamp (MEB) is a one-week intensive training program in technology entrepreneurship for graduate students in the sciences, engineering, and math. MEB is co-sponsored by the Initiative for Studies in Transformational Entrepreneurship (INSITE) and the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship.
