The Wisconsin Technology Council produces the contest to encourage entrepreneurs statewide in the startup stages of tech-based businesses. It links up-and-coming entrepreneurs with a statewide network of community resources, expert advice and mentoring, management talent and possible sources of capital.

Illuminating Discovery Hub – Crossroads of Ideas

Local electrode atom probe (LEAP) is a novel analysis technique combining both 3D imaging and precise atomic-scale chemical composition measurements. Exclusively developed by CAMECA, the atom probe is a prime example of Wisconsin innovation and discovery. Dr Katherine Rice, Applications Lab Manager at CAMECA Instruments, will share an introduction to this technology, some of the fun applications of LEAP, and the way UW–Madison and Wisconsin played a pivotal role.
