D2P IMPACT REPORT – MOVING CAMPUS INNOVATION FORWARD

D2P IMPACT REPORT – MOVING CAMPUS INNOVATION FORWARD

UW–Madison Discovery to Product

Discovery to Product (D2P) is pleased to share a recently completed report that presents some of our most impactful contributions to the campus innovation and entrepreneurship community.

Here are just a few highlights:

D2P’s Innovation and Commercialization Specialists worked with record numbers of project teams and individuals in the last fiscal year (July 2019 – June 2020).

D2P’s cohort and mentoring programs have have helped launch or grow 56 startups since D2P’s inception in 2014.

The Innovate Network initiative launched in April 2019 has convened diverse stakeholders on campus and in the community to strengthen our innovation ecosystem and illuminate Badger innovation.

“One of the best ways UW can fulfill the promise of the Wisconsin Idea is by helping faculty, staff, and students to bring their discoveries and inventions out of the lab (and the dorm room) and into the world. With a combination of creativity and expertise, D2P and its partners in the Innovate Network are leading our efforts to bridge the distance from invention to commercialization, build a campus culture of entrepreneurship, and nurture a strong regional entrepreneurial ecosystem. This work will keep UW on the leading edge of innovation for generations to come.”
