When – Date: Wednesday, October 4th
When – Time: Networking is from 5-6 pm, with programming and pitches starting at 6 pm.
What: Network with other healthcare and HealthTech entrepreneurs, and investors, then hear pitches to a panel of actual VC and angel investors, as 6-8 of the regions most promising new startups pitch of $20,000 in seed funds and related resources, in the annual HIP event.
Cost: Free, thanks to our generous funders; but, you need to register in advance.

The Healthcare Innovation Pitch (HIP) event is the popular and now annual Bridge to Cures event (launched in 2015), in partnership with Medical College of Wisconsin’s CTSI (Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute) AMPDNR (Accelerating Medical Product Development through Networked Resources) program.

The pitch event is designed as a toned-down and more structured version of the ABC show, “Shark Tank” where healthcare entrepreneurs get the rare opportunity to pitch to a panel of venture capitalists, angel investors, and serial entrepreneurs.

The HIP event will also provide valuable networking opportunities, as well as complimentary food and drinks.

In addition to competing for $20,000 in non-dilutive seed funds and additional services (i.e. legal; regulatory), participating teams/startups get exposure to some of the top venture capital and angel groups in Wisconsin, and across the country, to help with downstream funding goals.

Before the pitch event, teams/startups get access to a series of boot camps designed for startup founders, that cover business, legal, and regulatory information that is helpful for startups.

We are now seeking applications for the October 4th Healthcare Innovation Pitch (HIP) Event, in one of the following tracks:

(a) HealthTech (i.e. connected medicine; healthcare IT; telemedicine) and Healthcare Services,
or
(b) Therapeutics, Diagnostics, and Devices

If you missed the application deadline, come see others pitch – but you are encouraged to attend the various bootcamps, and the pitch event on Oct. 4th.
