The goal of the Wisconsin Tech Summit is to bring together major firms and emerging companies in a setting that allows them to meet and explore likely business relationships around technology needs and innovation. Major firms will hear from emerging companies with innovative products or services tied to areas such as “big data,” connected devices and data analytics in sectors ranging from health care to information systems, and from power electronics to telecommunications.

BME Project Idea Submission Deadline Aug. 15

The Biomedical Engineering Department is pleased to solicit projects to provide service-learning opportunities for our students (freshman through senior) to develop solutions to satisfy your needs. We seek focused, design projects with a specific biomedical goal in mind, such as the design of a device to perform a specific task in a laboratory or clinical practice. We also encourage industrial and community members to submit project ideas based on their own individualized unmet biomedical needs.

D2P Igniter Course – Applications Due Sept 17

Fall/Spring program Oct. 3-Apr. 16, applications due Sept. 17. Over the course of fourteen weeks, teams take part in iterative learning as they use the Business Model Canvas framework to develop and validate a plan for the infrastructure, finances, and operational aspects of how they will deliver their innovation to the world.

The Piloting Research Innovation & Market Exploration (PRIME) grant administered by UW–Madison’s Discovery to Product (D2P) aims to enable campus innovators to conduct research activities that mitigate early-stage market risks. Deadline for PRIME proposals for fiscal year 2024 is September 26.
