Arbre Technologies, a company with operations in Milwaukee and Stevens Points that provides technology for asset management at tree nurseries and other horticulture-based companies, is one of 10 companies across the state selected as a finalist for the 2020 Wisconsin Innovation Awards.

Other finalists include New Berlin-based Motivo, a company that makes and designs walkers; Pyran, a Madison company that develops a new process to produce an environmentally friendly chemical to replace a legacy chemical in the manufacturing of paints and plastics; and Shorewood-based SafeLi, which is developing a patented material that boosts energy storage capacity in lithium-ion batteries. The material can be used for faster charging times and safer batteries used in electric and hybrid vehicles, power tools and consumer electronics.

The finalists were selected from a pool of more than 380 nominations. The winners will be announced on Oct. 13 during a virtual awards ceremony.
