ETP is an intensive business-planning training program designed to help participants who want to start a new business, grow an existing business, or make a substantial business pivot that requires viewing the business with a new perspective. The focus of the program is to help you complete a comprehensive “rough draft” of your business plan in the form of a written workbook. Each session of class will help you learn business terminology and work toward putting your ideas on paper so that, by the end of class, you have made significant progress toward launching your business or writing a more comprehensive business plan.
The Innovation-to-Market course is intended as an entry point for innovators, seekers of a creative solutions, designers of novel approaches to social problems or makers of impactful products at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

This session will review the requirements and guide you through where to start, what to include, and how to show your best self.

Fall/Spring program Oct. 3-Apr. 16, applications due Sept. 17. Over the course of fourteen weeks, teams take part in iterative learning as they use the Business Model Canvas framework to develop and validate a plan for the infrastructure, finances, and operational aspects of how they will deliver their innovation to the world.
Fall 2023 dates: Oct 11 – Dec 6 (Wednesdays, 9 – 11 am). Eight-week course includes 5 live online classroom sessions plus weekly mentor check-ins.
