University Research Park Welcomes New Board Members

University Research Park, Inc., a nonprofit supporting organization of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, announced the election of two new Board Members. Aimee Davis will join the University Research Park Board as a Trustee and Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska will join the Board as an Advisor.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Aimee and Dorota to the University Research Park Board,” said Aaron Olver, Managing Director of University Research Park. “Aimee’s marketing and communications chops and Dorota’s science and research expertise are welcome additions to the board room. And strategically, we’re grateful for the opportunity to deepen our relationship with both Alliant Energy, which serves URP 2, and the University of Wisconsin – Madison.”

 

ABOUT AIMEE DAVIS

Aimee Davis, the Vice President for Marketing, Communications, and Customer Operations for the Alliant Energy Corporation will join the University Research Park Board of Trustees. Aimee joined Alliant Energy in 2018 with more than 25 years of experience in developing, leading and executing integrated marketing, communications and customer programs for global matrixed and nonprofit organizations.

In her role, Aimee leads a team of talented individuals whose mission is to showcase how Alliant Energy delivers on its Purpose – to serve customers and build stronger communities across Iowa and Wisconsin – while enabling a best-in-class customer experience and driving growth. Aimee’s leadership extends across the Market Research, Corporate Communications, Marketing and Customer Operations functions of the company. Aimee also leads our Community Affairs team and serves as Board Chair of the Alliant Energy Foundation.

 

 

ABOUT DOROTA GREJNER-BRZEZINSKA

Dorota Grejner-Brzezinska is the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Vice Chancellor for Research. As Vice Chancellor for Research, Dorota leads one of the largest and most diverse research programs in American higher education. Brzezinska oversees a portfolio comprising $1.5 billion in annual research expenditures and manages research policy and compliance. She also oversees the activities of nearly 20 research centers, including the Wisconsin Energy Institute, the Data Science Institute, the Waisman Center and the UW Arboretum.

Prior to joining UW-Madison in September of 2024, Dorota served as the Vice President for Knowledge Enterprise at Ohio State and a professor of civil, environmental and geodetic engineering. Her research initially focused on improving GPS for civilian applications by increasing accuracy and enabling real-time availability.

Her tenure at Ohio State included several leadership roles — including department chair, associate dean for research and senior vice president for corporate and government partnerships — and focused on growing research talent and research expenditures, building interdisciplinarity connections across campus, and helping stand up new research institutes and centers.
